JUST TOUCHED DOWN IN LONDON TOWN

First of all i apologize for the radio silence. This past week has been a whirlwind in the best and worst possible way. I am currently in London studying abroad at the University of Westminster at their Harrow campus. I will be in this wonderful city until May so around five months.

The best part of this trip so far is that i am in one of the most beautiful cities in the world and that i have friend to share these experiences and adventures with. Her name is Catherine. We both live in Harrow 20 minutes out of central London. So i'm glad i'm not all alone. Almost everyday we have gone into central London.  Our mornings have consisted of going to Pret in Oxford Circus and getting a coffee ( in my case a good ole' fashion cappuccino and in Catherine's case a mocha) and some sort of sandwich, fruit, or pastry btw Pret's wild salmon sandwich is amazing! After coffee we have been wondering around the streets on London welcoming our new surrounding (and the boys) with open warms. Side note: I was so happy to see how clean the tubes are here. Chicago needs to gets its shit together.

Just yesterday we went into Burberry's 121 flagship store and let me just say... O - M - G!!! I think i died and went to trench coat heaven. This store is absolutely amazing! After the magic that was Burberry we went to All Saints a store I had never previously been in but can now say it is now of my new favorites (if my parents are buying). Although it is quite expensive, the clothes are right up my alley. It is also where i found the perfect leather jacket. Seriously! It fit me like a glove. And another good thing about this store is it a good place to get your eye candy fix. Every guy who works there is gorgeous.

Catherine and I then made out way to Anthropology. I personally am not a big fan of their clothes but I am a huge fan of all of the miscellaneous things they have especially their books, candles, and door knobs. I also absolutely love the aesthetic and the decor of the store, it is very much my style. They have an entire wall that is just greenery. It is lovely.

And last but most certainly not least, we went to Topshop and let me just tell all of the fashion lover like myself, the place is like heaven including cupcakes, fro-yo, bubble tea and a cafe. What could be better? nothing! For anyone who knowns me and my shopping habits knowns that i could stay in that place for hours, or lets be real and say that i could no doubt live there for the rest of my life. Our goal while in "heaven" was an all important "female" tasks of finding the perfect bag.

I found one that could fit my computer in it which is perfect since i will be taking it back and forth with me while i am at Harrow. Now that we were full and coming down from a shopping high, we hopped on the tube and headed home.

Speaking of when i am home I am in a small room that has become quite cozy since i put up some pictures i had ripped from magazines I had had for a millions years. When i do have some down time you will catch me watching Dawson's Creek. Yes i know it is an oldie but i don't care. I love watching Katie Holmes in her earlier years, pre-Tom.

Now for the worse part of this adventure so far. Since i have been here i have been sick. It sucks. My desk has become home to every lotion, rub, spray, vitamin, pill, and gel known to man or sick person. I have done everything imaginable to get rid of my sore throat, sinus congestion, and plugged ears. So far i have cured my sore throat but tissues have now become my new best friends. They are there when i need them and they take what i give them without complaint, and they don't ask questions. So i love them :) I also feel like i'm going deft and becoming my dad because everything sounds muffled (like if you were to walk around with your hands over your ears) and saying "what?!" anytime anyone says anything to me. But apart from being sick i have been loving it here and hopefully i can kick this thing before classes start Monday. I'll keep in touch. :)
