STUDIO

For one of my photography classes, I have been working on a project that has required me to work in a studio. I got to work with three of my good friends, which was a blast. I have had a lot of fun doing it, so I thought i'd share what I did.

WEEKEND WONDERERS

My friend Catherine and I have had some pretty amazing weekends since being here in London. Lets face it, it's not that difficult to have a bad weekend. Even if your stuck in the library all weekend, you can't help but be grateful for being in one of the greatest cities in the world (or in our case, just outside of it).

Thursdays mark the end of my week, with me and Catherine riding home on the tube. This usually includes us making an impromptu to stop at either TopShop for FroYo or the nearest Tesco's to pick up some chocolate, flour, and occasionally some wine. Tired and delirious we make our way home in between complete silence and fits of laughter. We have come to realize that there is something about Thursday that makes us a little crazy. Where nothing we say makes sense and everything makes us laugh til' our stomachs hurt.

Once home, we set up shop in Catherine's kitchen and make cookies! And let me just say, we are pretty damn good at it too. We have acquired a system where Beyonce plays in the background, she puts in the ingredients, I stir, she makes the cookies and puts them in the oven, we sing, they bake, we eat! Another little tradition we have started is watching a movie after we make cookies. The first movie we saw was Frozen (it was so good). Side note: Olaf is my spirit animal, seriously! We have also started watching (or should I say re-watching) the Harry Potter series. Catherine is a die hard fan while I haven't seen the movies since they came out, so for me its been a couple years since i've seen them.

With Thursday concluded we head into Friday which is full of wondering and exploring. Two weekends ago we went to Covent Garden. It is a very cute town; a street photographers dream. We walked through Covent Garden to South Bank, one of my favorite areas in London. We proceeded to people watch while eating our lunch (burritos) before heading back to Harrow. Saturday was filled with Candy which we bought from a candy store we had spotted the day before, before heading back to Catherine's for another round of Harry Potter.

The next weekend (last weekend) was also amazing. We began our weekend on Friday by taking a trip to Trafalgar Square where we began our morning (or rather afternoon) people watching while drinking our coffees and eating cake. Yes we had cake for breakfast. After soaking up some sun we headed across the street to The National Gallery for a little culture fix. We winded our way through the museum freaking out like little girls at the sight of Degas, Monet, and Lautrec. We then walked the length of the South Bank listen to various street performers as we went along. The next day we again drank our coffee at Trafalgar Square, this time with no cake. We then went and walked along the London Bridge and took a look at the bullet, the gherkin, and/or the pickle. The building as many names and i'm not quite sure which is correct. We ended our day at YoSushi!

Here are some picture I snapped... hope you like.
